Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition (KIHE) is the largest demonstration platform of achievements in the field of scientific and practical medicine and pharmacy in Central Asia, bringing together professional doctors, pharmacists, government and business representatives from different countries every year. Every year manufacturers and suppliers of medical equipment, instruments, clinical and laboratory consumables, medical products for various uses, production of pharmaceutical preparations, packaging and labeling equipment, etc. participate in the exhibition.

 

The exhibition will be accompanied by international forums, conferences, round tables and masterclasses, with participants including representatives of state agencies, entrepreneurs, and heads of medical institutions and pharmaceutical companies.

 

Market Background

 

In Kazakhstan, the government owns 80% of medical companies, so the government plays a very important role in medical issues. There are also many joint ventures between the government and private medical institutions. For example, 70% of dental clinics are privately owned. However, public health services are usually carried out under the control of national and municipal authorities. In the past few years, the government has taken a lot of management measures in public health reform and development. The public health reform and development plan was adopted, and free medical assistance catalogues were continuously introduced. This year was called the Health Year. Currently, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has strengthened the treatment of tuberculosis, diabetes, AIDS, tumors and other diseases caused by iodine deficiency, and this plan has begun to be implemented in these directions.
